Should i give the rueful axe

This glitched my game worse than ever. Clavicus Vile's statue disappeared. Please see this page on UESP for further information. If you have taken the axe, type player.

You can get the axe and the masque, don't listen to that other great answer, because I figured out a way thanks to another comment on another site i saw, but simply changed it a bit. Once given the option too kill Barbus or not quit out of the option screen then save this is not required, but highly recommended. Once done so go around the statue and open the bared door if you haven't already then jump on the chest then on the statue head looking towards the pathway out and make sure you got at least the first shout of whirlwind sprint.

If you don't got the axe keep on trying until you get it on the weapon rack and be sure before doing all of this you own a house and a weapon rack in that house in Whiterun and have at least one whirlwind sprint shout equipped and I also prefer wearing light armor and your weapon put away. After i left my home I'm not quit sure you have to return to the cave, but i did then i randomly while in the cave got the masque and then returned to my house and still had the axe on the weapon rack.

I haven't tried this myself so don't blame me if it doesn't work. According to the video, go to the top of the statue after you got the Axe. Talk to him and say you want to give it to him.

While he's in dialogue, use Slow Time and run backwards to the exit. Once outside, go to your house, and place the Axe on the weapon rack, then go back to the cave and the Masque should get added. Sign up to join this community.

The best answers are voted up and rise to the top. In either case, Lod will give you some fresh meat for bait. Travel along the road a short distance southwest of town. A dog will approach and enthusiastically address you, saying "You are exactly what I was looking for". He will introduce himself as Barbas and will ask for your help. Choose the second dialogue option for a bit of background explanation. Barbas will describe a falling-out that he had with his master, and says that he needs someone who can settle the disagreement.

You agree to arbitrate this disagreement and Barbas tells you that Vile is probably close to a cult of worshippers living near Haemar's Shame. Barbas will then be on his way towards this cavern, and you will have to follow him on a long journey. Note that traveling with Barbas can be avoided by postponing his request during the second set of dialogue responses; select "You were looking for me?

This will make Barbas travel to Haemar's Shame alone. You can then make your way to the shrine when you are ready. If you haven't discovered Haemar's Shame, you can travel to Helgen and head east for a relatively uneventful trip. If you choose this option, you can skip the next section. Haemar's Shame is located a long way from Falkreath , at the foot of the Throat of the World , straight east from the ruined town of Helgen.

Following Barbas can be difficult as Barbas tends to get lost on occasion, so keep an eye on the map marker. The first distraction comes when you and Barbas face an unmarked bridge guarded by bandits , just west of Falkreath.

Barbas cannot be killed because he is invulnerable, so just fight the opposition and keep an eye on the dog, who may wander off. Follow Barbas past Pinewatch and up the mountain towards Helgen. The trip goes through the destroyed town, now occupied by bandits, so help Barbas fight them.

When all is said and done, Barbas will open the eastern gate himself and continue towards the Throat of the World. When you finally reach Haemar's Shame, Barbas will enter right away so follow him inside. Clavicus Vile obviously suffered the same fate as many other daedric princes, and his shrine is now hidden away in a damp tomb.

His worshipers consist of leveled vampires who will protect the shrine with their lives. The first room offers an enemy guarding the wooden structure and a chest. Barbas will run ahead, so you will likely be on your own. Big time! And I CAN handle this. Wanna say you're-" Clavicus Vile: "Sorry, nope. Uh, can't think of anything. Why would I need to apologize to the mutt in order to fix what happened with Umbra and my realm?!

This is just stupid! Clavicus Vile: As a reward, I shall grant you three wishes Dragonborn: Oh, no thanks. Clavicus Vile: What? Dragonborn: Whatever I wish for, you will just twist it around into some ironic horror. Clavicus Vile: I don't even know what you mean Dragonborn: Like, if I said I wish to be wealthy, you'd kill someone I love to give me the insurance money.

Clavicus Vile: Oh! Or mutate your body in a way that people would pay money to see! Elder Scrolls Online. Events Characters Factions Locations Concepts. Explore Wikis Community Central. Register Don't have an account? The Rueful Axe.
